A mi lado, don Lorenzo.

Pues no siempre.

No sé. Me quedé corto.

00:24:30
 César Vidal: Personas junto.

00:24:32
Lorenzo Ramírez: A Amazon. No habrá ningún límite. Me da igual.

00:30:07
 César Vidal: A saber nunca.

00:30:09
 Lorenzo Ramírez: Bueno, algunos.

00:30:09
César Vidal: Alguna vez. Alguna vez.

00:30:11

00:31:12
 César Vidal: Igual.

00:31:12
Lorenzo Ramírez: De igual a igual. Exactamente no P2P.

Claramente no?

A Rusia.

Le pongo una etiqueta a ver sello made in China. A tomar por saco esto de Europa. Y fuera. Pues esto es igual.

00:35:00
 César Vidal: Conmovedor. Conmovedor.

00:35:02

00:36:57

00:40:32
César Vidal: Exactamente. Solbes se lo vendió a Rusia. Es de estas cosas maravillosas. E intentaba justificar lo injustificable.

00:40:42
Lorenzo Ramírez: No decía que no iba a subir. Que no iba a subir el oro.

00:40:44

00:40:53
Lorenzo Ramírez: No hubo comisión, seguro. Yo me he mantenido en mis treces. No sé.

Me puedo equivocar.

00:53:03
César Vidal: César es así, es así. Muchísimas gracias por todo, Lorenzo. Nos encontramos mañana. Un abrazo muy fuerte a ustedes.

00:53:10
 Lorenzo Ramírez: Un fuerte abrazo.

ENGLISH:

00:00:39
César Vidal: We run fast and fast to our plane. We cross the threshold, throw ourselves flat on the seats, fasten our seat belts, take off and soar through the air until we reach our altitude and our cruising speed. Next to me, Don Lorenzo. A very good night with that pack of charcoal. Yes, let's go. Here? No, on a train. We're going on a plane. What's with the coal? Good evening.
00:01:12
Lorenzo Ramirez: Very good evening. Good evening, Don Cesar. Are you going to buy coal early this year for the Three Wise Men? Lorenzo Ramirez: Yes, man.
00:01:19
César Vidal: This year there have not been many bad people. Of course, the Three Wise Men. Another thing.
00:01:25
Lorenzo Ramírez: I think that the Three Wise Men have to go asking for the coal. And of course, since they were from the East, they didn't say that they were from the East and that they were magicians, so they would be worried because they couldn't buy the Russian coal. But it seems that they can. It seems that they are going to be able to buy it even if it is on the quiet, because these boomerang sanctions are punishing families, they are punishing companies, but what the States are basically doing is to ignore them, and in the case of coal this is one of them. And we are going to comment on what is happening. In fact, I am practically full of soot because, my goodness, what a day since Putin announced this morning this movement of the reservists. Some people thought that all the Russians were going to go to the Ukrainian border, all at once, not there with knives.
00:02:08
Cesar Vidal: And a lot of nonsense is being said.
00:02:11
Lorenzo Ramirez: The truth is.
00:02:11
César Vidal: If those who are paid by the English, more.
00:02:15
Lorenzo Ramirez: Those who are paid by the English, more than many of them. People don't know it, but in Spain there are many who are paid by the English and others who are not paid by the English. They would like to be paid by the English and what they have clear they aspire and they have the tongue of rag.
00:02:29
César Vidal: To be worse because the others at the end of the day, man, sometimes they try to dissimulate a little bit so that.
00:02:36
Lorenzo Ramírez: Yes, it's a job, it's not a job. And well, in the end I get paid for this. Well, but.
00:02:40
Cesar Vidal: Those who aspire those go, but let's go with our underpants off.
00:02:44
Lorenzo Ramirez: There are some who aspire also a little bit more like Lenski, but well, that's another topic that maybe we can discuss. We are here this Wednesday, day by day, day by day, in which the Federal Reserve will announce another interest rate hike, probably a few minutes after we finish our daily flight through the economic news, so it will be in tomorrow's program when we will analyze this decision of the Governing Council of the Central Bank of the United States. Almost more important is the speech of Jerome Jerome Powell, our friend Jerome, the chairman of the Federal Reserve, who, as we usually say, every time he speaks, the bread rises. And also, literally, in this case.
00:03:19
César Vidal: Literally, literally. Here we are not talking about a well-known saying, but about reality. Every time he speaks, bread and chicken and milk and potatoes and everything goes up, anything.
00:03:31
Lorenzo Ramírez: Be careful, there are many people who say well, if interest rates go up, then the stock market will go down. Well, not always. In fact, there is a circumstance which is that the last rate hikes by the Federal Reserve, well, the market started badly, the market started falling and then it turned around and ended up rising. Well, the main Wall Street indexes end up rising, the SP500 and the NASDAQ, and many people do not understand. And they ask me Well, but if you're saying tighten financial conditions, how can it be that then the stock market goes up? Well, because in this case the asymmetric backwards version of the famous saying occurs in this case is sell on the rumor and buy on the news. That is, many sell at the time of saying well, the Fed is going to raise and then buy, although a few hours later, in some cases, a few days later, the market continues its downward trend. Don't be fooled. The market is clearly in a downtrend. I am not saying that Hidalgo that we were talking about yesterday announcing a fall in Wall Street of close to 20% in this crisis will be right. Well, not this morning, the Rubini Mysterium was talking about a 40% drop. We already know that Rubini always jumps on this bandwagon. I usually get it right because, of course, things are so bad that each recession is even worse than the previous one, even though they keep telling us and keep trying to convince us that this recession is different. This is very curious, isn't it? Don Cesar says no, this procession will in any case be short this recession.
00:04:55
César Vidal: Well, whoever doesn't want to believe it, let him go to hell. Of course, man. They will try when things get a little tougher. I am convinced that they will make a birlibirloque with the numbers and they will talk about green shoots.
00:05:08
Lorenzo Ramirez: Yes, yes, yes, that's right.
00:05:10
César Vidal: Let the hard stuff come.
00:05:12
Lorenzo Ramírez: Yes, yes, more or less for the times that we are dealing with and that we have already raised on some occasions. The macro figures, surely. Or the idea was that the macro figures in these last quarters of the year would show at least that they would not show the ugly face that the economy has. But the truth is that today we have had some, some downward revisions of GDP in Spain in the third and fourth quarter there is going to be a fall in gross domestic product, something that. That the government did not expect. The government expected that in year-on-year terms at least the issue would be saved a little bit and it will be done if we compare it with the previous 12 months, but in quarterly terms we are going to fall in the third quarter and in the fourth quarter, which would mean that the dreaded recession that is already underway in the United States with those two consecutive quarters of fall would already occur. It is a day, moreover, when the markets are also awaiting the evolution of the situation in eastern Ukraine and western Russia. Maybe after the referendums we are not talking about western Russia instead of eastern Ukraine, no?
00:06:10
Cesar Vidal: Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.
00:06:11
Lorenzo Ramirez: As each one wants to see it. Because Putin's speech this morning, as you have already commented and analyzed in the bulletin, represents a change in the situation and casts doubt on all those who have been saying for weeks that Kiev is about to recover the Donbass with NATO's help. I don't know where they find them, where they are looking for them, all of them? Because I understand, I insist that there are some who pay them, others that such. But please, gentlemen, let us be serious. There were people saying, let's see if you come back and admit once and for all what is happening in the East, in the East of Ukraine. But be informed, really, be informed.
00:06:49
César Vidal: It happens that as in the end they basically follow the arguments of the British embassy, then what happens happens happens.
00:06:58
Lorenzo Ramírez: Look, what surprises me the most about this issue is that few things surprise me, but what surprises me the most is to see some people who are not palmeros, but who really try to give information, even if their sources are not the best in the world. Why don't they talk to the military who talk to the military of their countries? Whoever is in the United Kingdom should talk to a British military, whoever is a journalist in Spain or an analyst should talk to a military, because I have not talked to any military that has defended the official version from minute one. And indeed, we inform ourselves by calling the military, talking to doctors, when we have to report on health issues, talking to financial analysts, when we have to talk about banking and that is how it is. In any case, any excuse is a good one to justify a fall in the stock markets, which also took a big hit yesterday. There has been a lot of talk about the collapse of FedEx, the US logistics giant, as a milestone. As somehow a milestone saying well, if FedEx is already in trouble, then the economy is really in trouble. We already talked about those of the situation that Walmart had, which have also suffered big blows in the stock market. But yesterday the shares of Ford, which is another American corporate colossus, did not suffer its worst day in the last 11 years. They released part of their third quarter earnings report. Moreover, they did not publish it in its entirety. A kind of advance as if to prepare for what was coming and 7 billion dollars flew out of Ford's shares. The stock plunged 12% in eight hours.
00:08:30
Cesar Vidal: Not bad.
00:08:31
Lorenzo Ramirez: In eight hours. And meanwhile, financial assets, the so-called fixed income assets, that is debt. Bonds continue to lose value by leaps and bounds, triggering interest rates. Note, Don Cesar, that the safe haven asset par excellence, i.e., the U.S. Treasury bond, the three, has not accumulated a loss of 15% so far this year. It is at decade lows. The Treasury Bond, United States. There are a lot of people who don't quite understand how bonds work and how they help us explain and indicate what's going to happen next. There is actually a bit of a crystal ball, which is not a crystal ball, but numbers. A bond in the end is an asset, a debt instrument issued by a government or a company. What for? To raise money, basically. Then the issuer commits to repay the amount borrowed at a later date. If it is a ten-year bond, in ten years and it is a one-year bond, at one year's sight and to pay interest during the period of the loan. That is the interest on the bond. So the person who buys the bond is somehow agreeing to lend money to that issuer in exchange for receiving, I insist, a return during the life of the bond and at the end that the total capital is returned to him. Then, during its entire life, the bond can also be bought and sold and has a market price. Because if you have a bond and you say well, I don't trust that they are going to pay me or I need liquidity and then I have to get rid of that bond. What happens when central banks raise interest rates, which is the context in which we are now? Well, then the new bonds that are issued have a higher interest rate than the old ones. So if you had bought an old bond and you want to sell it, what do you have to do? Make it cheaper. So when interest rates go up, the price of the bond goes down. And if you have bought a bond and you have bought it to sell it later, which is what financial institutions and other economic agents basically do? Well, what you have is a serious problem, because when interest rates go up your portfolio, the value of your portfolio goes down. That's why bond prices fall when interest rates rise. And the other way around. That's why yesterday bonds fell in price and that's why today we see many headlines in the financial press announcing another selloff, another massive bond sell-off. But in addition to this action by the Central Bank, there is another element that affects the demand for debt, which is geopolitical risk. And this morning, after Putin's speech, the bond market turned around. Why? Because when there is a lot of fear, people buy bonds. Which lowers their yield. And this is what happened this morning, I insist, after Putin made his speech, that the stock markets went down and bonds went up in price. You and I are talking right now. It's been open for 20 minutes now. Wall Street and the Dow Jones is down a one and done day for the markets. The euro is still falling, it is still sinking against the dollar, oil and gas are going up, up, up, up and up, even if someone wants to put a cap on it. If they insist on cap oil, it is called the cap, the oil cap. Let us see, you can try to go to a pharmacy and when they are going to sell you, I do not know, ibuprofen, paracetamol, you say no, no, no, I am not going to pay you so much. I am going to put a limit on the price of ibuprofen and I am only going to pay you one euret instead of the five euretes a box is worth, right? Well, this is a little bit the same, the man from Naranco, the person in charge of Harán with the Saudi oil company Rockefeller and we could say that this morning he was laughing his head off when they were talking about the oil cap and he said I will set the price I consider appropriate because I am a cartel and you have to buy me because your energy policy is garbage, because all your policy based on renewables has completely failed and because, at least for the next few years, you need me and I will charge you at the price I want, because I am a cartel. How can you cap the price of a cartel? Can someone explain it to me? I don't know. Send an email to Lorenzo Arroba César Vidal dot com. Let's see if they can explain it to me because I still haven't been able to understand it. There is a real dialogue, especially in Brussels, when they start talking about these things. Because, I insist, it is something that cannot be done. And then, in addition to the decision taken by the Federal Reserve regarding interest rates, it is very important to know more details about this debt purchase withdrawal program. Right, because this is the end of the net that supports thousands of zombie companies and it's going to hit bonds even harder, because this program, this is the so-called quantitative QT, well, it's the sort of the opposite of the. The asset purchase plan. In this case, what the quantitative does label, what it does is it shrinks that balance sheet. I mean, the Fed has bought a lot of Treasuries and mortgage-backed securities and mortgage-linked assets. And now what does it have to do? Put them on the market? Who's going to buy them? Ah, my friend. Goldman Sachs is going to buy them. Black Rock is going to buy it. With what money? Because if the reserve, if the Federal Reserve stops providing that liquidity, with what money are they going to buy it? So there is a major earthquake in fixed income. I am telling you all this mainly because there are many people who now, with the stock market falls, will say well, what am I going to do with my money? Do I put it in bricks and mortar? Buy bonds? Well, if I were not going to sell the bond, I would buy a one-year U.S. Treasury bond. It's going to give me a little more yield than the bank, it's going to give me insurance and I know that the United States is going to pay me. But beyond that, really, fixed income. Be careful with it. And this is a very important difference with respect to what the European Central Bank does, because the European Central Bank, the debt that is maturing and that it has bought, it is renewing it, changing the bonds of the countries of Central Europe for those of the South. And this is what he is achieving, that the risk premiums are relatively kept at bay, because they continue to rise little by little, like the frog that is being cooked, and there will come a time when the frog will die. But in the meantime you think it's there, in the Olympic pool, doing a few lengths. So when next year the recession sinks the public accounts of Spain and Italy, especially if in the transalpine country there is a change of government. Beware, because the European Central Bank has created a mechanism called the TPI anti-fragmentation mechanism, which forces countries that lose the confidence of the markets, i.e. whose debt suffers, to expressly ask for a bailout. This is not being explained to people. It is no longer the European Central Bank, the Monetary Fund saying hey, you need help and so on... No, you don't have to drop your pants. You have to ask for a bailout and then they give you your homework, which is very different from what happened, the previous bailouts, liquidity in exchange for adjustments in public services and pensions. And Mauricio Montero knows this. And Von der Leyen knows this. And Paolo Gentile, the Commissioner of Economy, also knows it, but as it is not going to happen in the short term, they are quiet as Ramonet. Germany this morning put in debt. German debt was in the negative. We have been saying for years that bonds were in negative. We explain to people how it can be that a bond is in negative. Negative interest. This morning already paid 2%. To issue debt. And this morning, moreover, Germany announces a Germany that is still in the news for being in the midst of the biggest crisis of the last 4th century. And I think this is an understatement. It announces the rescue of the largest German gas company from a hyper that we anticipated on Monday. I was short. I said it was going to be 7,500,000,000,000 and in the end it will be 8,000,000. An amount that will surely grow in the coming months. How is this going to be done? Through the execution of a bond convertible into shares that will give Berlin control over 98% of the company's capital. This company is one of the ones he built, isn't it? Descent two. This company is the largest German gas company. Some say the second. Depending on which indicator we take. If we take the results of this first half of the year, well obviously not, because it lost 12 billion euros, but this is one of the big European energy giants. An energy crisis, moreover, which leads to an industrial crisis and then, as always happens, to a financial and debt crisis, because it is the usual spiral. That's why today I wanted to explain a little bit how this debt market works so that people know what they are talking about, not political decisions.
00:16:56
César Vidal: This is extremely important because, as you rightly pointed out, many people buy debt and bonds to protect themselves, and also to protect themselves in times of turbulence. But it's just not a good time for them.
00:17:14
Lorenzo Ramirez: It makes economic sense, I insist, it makes economic sense, as long as your idea is not to sell that bond. That is to say, if you are going to sell that bond in a bullish interest rate environment, you are going to eat that bond with potatoes. Because if I buy a bond today at 3% or 4% and rates continue to rise, the issuer of that bond in two or three months will issue a bond at five or six. And whoever wants to buy a bond from whom is going to buy it from me or from the other who is offering double the interest rate? That is the issue. Now, if one says no, no, what I want to do is to put this here, I protect myself, even if only partially, from inflation. If there is an inflation of five, six, seven or eight, and I have a yield of three, then I have some profit and then I collect my capital and my interest. That's fine. But then what we have to look for is that the issuer is solvent. Because Iberdrola is solvent. It's the Ibex company with the largest market capitalization, but it's solvent.
00:18:07
César Vidal: But they are two different things. They are two different things.
00:18:11
Lorenzo Ramírez: A hyper, a hyper. It was the largest European gas company six months ago. And now it is a public entity. After having lost 12 billion euros and what it will have in the balance sheet a hidden hyper. Repsol is another one. I am giving examples of companies that are doing well, not doing well. Because I look at others, but Repsol that goes like a shot because the oil is going to rise, etc. is also involved in the roll. Agenda 20 30 enjoys the praise of Larry King and company. It is a company in which someone is willing to buy a bond, maybe for 15 or 20 years. Well, this is for everyone to decide. The United States is not going to go bankrupt, at least in the short term, and the dollar has a long way to go as a reserve currency, even if we explain here that the dollarization process is underway. Someone who wants to hedge and buy three, buy U.S. Treasury bonds? Well, it is an understandable, justifiable and in some cases even advisable decision. That's why this morning the world was buying three Hurricanes and that's why the interest rate has gone down. Then we are going to talk about bricks, which is the other safe haven asset par excellence. But before we get into the real estate sector, on the energy issue in Spain, the government and its palmeros have been saying for weeks that the famous gas cap had reduced the price of electricity in the country. They were telling us that homes, businesses pay less than their neighbors or we pay less than our neighbors in other European countries. To the point that we have even been told that Spain was an example when it came to adopting measures to lower the price of electricity. This has been defended during this summer. Well, according to data, the latest data of a few hours ago from the European Statistical Office Eurostat, official data, the electricity bill paid by Spanish households, not the wholesale market, households, consumers, SMEs increased in August by more than 60% compared to the same month of the previous year, while in France the increase was 7%, in Germany 16% and in Portugal 30 %. Only the Italians suffered a higher increase in electricity prices than Spain.
00:20:27
César Vidal: It is frightening.
00:20:28
Lorenzo Ramírez: It is frightening, not only because of the data, but because I think that this 60% is not enough. But because of the degree of lies and propaganda that these people are trying to make us swallow. Everyone already knows that they are not paying less for electricity. Every time they receive a bill they know it. But in public debates, in public speeches, they continue to defend this hoax, right? So, with this panorama, it is not strange that the research services of large companies, the Ibex companies, are already updating their forecasts? We said last spring, after the summer. The data will become available. The evolution will be more negative than what we are told and little by little the personnel will turn around. And all those who said that last year and next year there was going to be growth are going to go backwards. There is no BBVA. It says that Spain is already in recession this year. That is, two consecutive quarters of falling Gross Domestic Product and CaixaBank also thinks that GDP is going to fall in the third quarter. Deutsche Bank. What does it do? A month ago it was saying that Europe was going to grow by 0.3% next year. Now it says Europe's GDP is going to fall by 2.2%. Curiously enough, it is following the path of the European Central Bank, which also thinks that the European economy is going to fall next year, but does not say so. Just as we advanced in last Monday's program, right? By the way, now that we are talking about CaixaBank, it turns out that the bank, the bank that continues to lead the shadows in what.
00:22:03
César Vidal: Dark, be careful where CaixaBank mentions that there was someone on whom a death warrant was issued for daring to speak.
00:22:12
Lorenzo Ramirez: Yes, yes, be careful.
00:22:13
César Vidal: Where. Where it mentions certain entities.
00:22:17
Lorenzo Ramírez: Yes, especially because it is still managed by the same guy, the obscure Isidro Fainé, from those black towers on Diagonal Avenue, which are black not only because of the exterior façade, but also because of what they contain inside. Well, CaixaBank has been chosen.
00:22:32
César Vidal: I think that calling Fainé dark is a gesture of generosity, but come on, immense. That is, Fainé.
00:22:40
Lorenzo Ramirez: You know that in the end.
00:22:41
César Vidal: That one who has walked through Spain in decades, that is, he is a character that we see a TV series or a novel in which the true story of Fainé appears and people would not believe it.
00:22:53
Lorenzo Ramírez: Whenever I am going to collaborate with some media and they ask me to do some business profile because they say you have fangs and so on and that you have already been through many media and you know a little bit how this goes. And I always say well, then let me start with Fainé? And he says no, no, no, no, no, he is not coming, we better not leave it for later, right? Well, Mr. Fainé or his entity CaixaBank, has been chosen by the European Central Bank to launch the digital euro. That is, the European digital currency, which is not a cryptocurrency because it is centralized and whose ultimate goal is to replace cash and serve as a tool to implement a social credit system in which citizens will be controlled. Basically that is the digital euro, like the digital dollar, like the digital youth, like the digital rupee, which is also in it today, or like the digital pound from September. In other words.
00:23:47
Cesar Vidal: It's already in the wrong, as always.
00:23:50
Lorenzo Ramirez: Well, it's not that it is, it is that it is. In this case it would be Tubal Toby. It would not be Toby in English, it is that the same verb we did not see it to be estar, that they said I am tired, I have a bad being, Faemino used to say when he went to the doctor and he said The other one said it will be discomfort? And the other said Well, you live your life. In the end it is the same verb. As of September, to say right now and until the end of this year they were silent. It will develop. Hold on. This really scares me. A mobile application that simulates the steps people will need to transfer digital euros to their account and or transfer digital euros to others.
00:24:30
Cesar Vidal: People together.
00:24:32
Lorenzo Ramirez: To Amazon. Which will be the other big entity that will be in charge of this. There are a lot of people who don't understand this and they ask me Well, but why are they making a digital book? This is a cryptocurrency. And why do they want digital currencies? What do you gain from it? Well, we don't really gain anything. We lose freedom. The real danger of these digital currencies. The famous Central Bank Digital Currency CBD ces is that the limit for the level of control that the Central Bank Government can exercise over people disappears. There will be no limit. That is, if the money is purely electronic and I am here doing this program with you. They simply have to hit a button and I can no longer spend my money. Is that what it is? They put a traffic light and it says Lorenzo this week. This week we are not going to let him buy anything on Friday or buy any products, no, Lorenzo will only be able to buy artificial meat this weekend and Don César Vidal will also have to settle for a vegan hamburger, right? Money if it is purely electronic and is provided by an entity, bureaucratic government or supranational entity. I don't care. It takes away any kind of freedom. It gives bureaucrat officials total control over everything that goes in and out of each person's account. It is no longer that your bank can set a limit for you to buy or, for example, to pay for a subscription to César Vidal TV, as BBVA has done or as CaixaBank has done this summer. Many of our friends who have not been able to pay their subscription or to register because the banks consider us dangerous, we are terrorists in some way, no? Maybe. Maybe the thief thinks that everyone is like him, no? But imagine if there is no possibility of using an alternative entity. That is why there are going to be many market initiatives, especially in the crypto field, that try to somehow cover that gap or cover that niche that is going to be left. Zebedee, who aspire, I insist, to total control. Of course, central banks obviously do not admit all this and say no, no, this is not going to replace cash. Well, then, why do they implement it? And they say ah, this is to favor financial inclusion. Of course, since everybody has a cell phone. Well, with that we guarantee financial inclusion for everyone. Everyone can carry their digital money. This is yet another lie. To drive another nail, surely the last one in the coffin of the monetary system. And they are also telling us now, especially the last few weeks, that what these digital currencies are going to do is to control inflation. Quite the opposite. If there is any limitation right now to creating money, it is that you have to physically print it for people to get it out of the ATM. If cash disappears, not only can they give you credit whenever they want, but they can charge you negative interest rates. In other words, they can consider that in order to stimulate the economy they have to put an interest rate of 1% on all current accounts so that you spend the money. And this is precisely what all the central banks in the world are working on, and China is already experimenting with it, even setting an expiration date for money, that is, letting you spend it within a certain period of time, which is also one of the dreams of Keynesians and which at the time was also included in some monetary experiments, setting the expiration date according to the serial number of the banknote. This really is the mark of the beast. To give you an idea, a little bit of the real risk involved in all this. But to get to this situation, first there has to be a horse crisis, and that's what they're working on. And in this process of implementation of central banking digital currencies, those known, I insist, by their acronym CVC. The collapse of cryptocurrency alternatives, which have suffered a setback in recent weeks, comes in handy. We also discussed it here Beware of cryptocurrencies, especially if one intends to sell them in a short period of time. Here there are two elements that are influencing a lot, one obvious and the other hidden. The most notorious and official one is that the interest rates of the fiat currency, the dollar, the euro, the pound, are almost rising, because then cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin, which aspire to be an alternative to them, are harmed. As we have already analyzed here many times. But there is another reason. And that is that the usual suspects, the investment bankers, the big fund managers like BlackRock and company, in collusion with the big techs and the rulers, have hijacked bitcoin by turning it into what it is not. We did a program and a few months ago César Vidal Punto TV. It was called The war of money, the kidnapping of Bitcoin, a very controversial program because I know that we have many followers who invest in Bitcoin and always tell me read a little, you do not understand well what the platform is. I have commented that since the origin of Bitcoin I was also in an environment of people who bet a lot for bitcoin in Spain and in fact wrote several books about it. And I know very well what the platform is and above all, what I know very well is how Bitcoin has been violated subsequently, through the developments that this currency has had. I'm talking about the currency specifically and not the platform, which is also called Bitcoin, which holds it when Satoshi Nakamoto whoever he was, because we don't really know who he is, writes that famous document.
00:30:07
César Vidal: To never know.
00:30:09
Lorenzo Ramirez: Well, some.
00:30:09
César Vidal: Sometime. Sometime.
00:30:11
Lorenzo Ramirez: Some people think he is the founder of Bitcoin SW. Well, there's a lot of controversy with this. It is also considered that he may be a group of people, but in any case, for those who don't know what this is about, Satoshi Nakamoto is a guy or a pseudonym that publishes a paper or a document that serves as a bit of an embryo to create Bitcoin. You can't find it on the web. I recommend everyone to read it because it is necessary. This is basic financial literacy and there I argued that Bitcoin should be used to make payments, that is, not as a store of value. And today most of the people who have Bitcoin what they do is as it is called in the slang, is to mold, that is, to keep and not sell, because they say that in the long run it always has to go up. But Bitcoin is not created for that. Bitcoin was created to be an alternative to the financial system, so that people would not have to go through a bank to pay. So that people could buy goods and services anywhere in the world in a peer to peer way. Head to head, from.
00:31:12
Cesar Vidal: Same.
00:31:12
Lorenzo Ramirez: Peer to peer. Exactly not P2P. The famous P2P networks more than more, as an instrument of buying and selling than as a store of value. It is true that money also has to be a store of value, otherwise it does not fulfill one of its functions. But in reality, at the moment, with the excuse of being a store of value in the face of the misdeeds of central bankers, what has happened is that it has become just another financial asset. If only Satoshi would raise his head. Because if it is just another financial asset, then that's where the friends of the underworld working in the offices of the City or Wall Street can get their grubby hands on it. And that's what they have done.
00:31:49
César Vidal: Obviously, and that is what they have done.
00:31:51
Lorenzo Ramírez: That is what they have done. Exchange platforms purchased bailed out by the usual suspects, the same ones that were announced a year ago at the Super Bowl. Do you remember Don Cesar when we said if from announcing the Super Bowl you have gone mainstream? Clearly not? Those banks, those exchanges from which people buy their coins and think they have them, when in fact they have nothing because they don't even have their private keys, which is the only thing that would allow them to access that money. César Vidal TV subscribers, especially those who have joined recently, can search in the library, in the newspaper library of the channel itself, several programs that we have done on these issues, on the origin of money and specifically on Bitcoin, if they want to expand a little on this and help them understand this world that although I know that in principle it is a bit complicated, but it is essential to know it. I insist, I know that there are many Voice listeners who trust Bitcoin or CRM as an alternative to the current corrupt financial and monetary system, which it is, but unfortunately it has lost much of its essence and these are financial assets that revalue and depreciate like any other and are manipulated like any other. There is a certain level of self-delusion on the part of many. That they say well, I don't sell. And in the end it is an asset where people hold losses much more than other assets. But this can be a mistake. Beware! It can be a mistake. In fact, in all the manuals it is indicated that you have to apply some kind of stop loss stop, some kind of gap from which you decide to take the losses, no? I assure you, Mr. César, that as in most of the things I raise here, I would like to be wrong. I would like this to be a mistake. But so far what we are learning about the hijacking of cryptocurrencies by the financial elites leads me to this conclusion. And well, I insist, I hope I'm wrong.
00:33:49
César Vidal: Yes, we would like it very much, but we already know that it is not usual.
00:33:55
Lorenzo Ramirez: Well, and speaking of currencies, I bring a story that is also that in the end you have to laugh a little. Let's see, you know that many consider Bitcoin the digital gold, but today is news the physical gold, the bullion. It turns out that the Swiss are buying gold from Russia. Yes. From Russia. At the fastest rate in two years. Russian gold arriving via the UK.
00:34:20
César Vidal: And that perfidious Albion.
00:34:24
Lorenzo Ramírez: Yes, yes. And that we see again how whoever wants to, he skips the sanctions while he condemns families and companies to eat them, to eat the brown of this rupture with the Russian neighbor. What is being done at the moment is to take Russian gold, take it to Swiss refineries to melt it down so that it can be sold without restrictions. This is wonderful. It's just wonderful. It's the same thing the Chinese are doing with gas. I don't take it there. I put a label on it and see if it's made in China. Screw this European stuff. And out. Well, this is the same.
00:35:00
César Vidal: Touching. Moving.
00:35:02
Lorenzo Ramirez: Russia is the second largest gold producer in the world. Second within a short distance of the first. China. Some people say Well, but the United States. China and Russia individually double the gold production of the United States. Individually.
00:35:24
César Vidal: Yes, one of the advantages that the Ukraine crisis is having is that there are people who are finding out what the world is like.
00:35:34
Lorenzo Ramirez: Yes.
00:35:35
César Vidal: I had an idea of the world that I thought was true, but it was deeply wrong. And one of the advantages that the crisis is having, although I recognize that for many people in a very painful way, is that they are going to find out what the real world is.
00:35:54
Lorenzo Ramirez: If they are supposed to find out.
00:35:55
César Vidal: They were telling them at home.
00:35:57
Lorenzo Ramirez: They are going to find out too, because this phenomenon or this event or this current situation is accompanied by an absolute discrediting of the traditional media and that is why they go to other places to get information and that is why they find out. Because whoever has the TV on at home all day long is not hearing about much discrediting either.
00:36:15
César Vidal: On the other hand.
00:36:15
Lorenzo Ramírez: Yes, yes, of course. Yes, yes, yes, yes. Of course. Only there the lawyers and the journalists, I think they're going for it. China.
00:36:23
César Vidal: Doctors.
00:36:24
Lorenzo Ramírez: Doctors, yes. In the last two years, the doctors as well. China is another one that the Russians are buying, but not much, because there are no restrictions there. There is no trick or cardboard there. I don't have to narrow it down anywhere. I buy it from them and that's it. But it is not being bought in large quantities, but there is a buying trend. Why is that? Well, in this case, because October is a month when a lot of gold is bought in China, because there is an increase in consumption and sales of jewelry on the occasion of China's National Day, which is actually celebrated for a whole week. This. You know about this.
00:36:57
César Vidal: And I have witnessed it. Yes, witnessed it. Yes, yes, I have witnessed it. And also, it's not that the Chinese are so original either, but they do indeed place an enormous value on gold. So far so good. But for gift purposes, even for symbolism, et cetera, if gold has, it has enormous value and you have a multitude of markets where you go to buy gold. And it's very interesting to see how people haggle and everything. I have only personally experienced it in China and it is one of the things that I really remember the most, the most surprised, the most, the most, the most fascinated. It's also true that watching my daughter haggle in Chinese is a sight to see. I mean, that's something is terrible bargaining in any language. But well, already in Chinese you were absolutely stunned and the Chinese were stunned, that is, they looked at her with surprise as if to say, but where did this come from? She also discusses prices with us?
00:38:00
Lorenzo Ramirez: With this kind of nerve.
00:38:01
César Vidal: The stupefaction of the Chinese was worth seeing.
00:38:05
Lorenzo Ramirez: However you listen to us, I send you my greetings as always. He is always there, also at the bottom of the barrel, no? When I was preparing the program, I'm sure Don Cesar knows this. What he didn't know is that he had been in situ on that National Day in China, which is actually a week. It is a week. It's not just one day. In fact, they call it Golden Week. Yes, yes, yes. The government originally extended the duration of this vacation, which is basically a vacation to boost the growth of domestic tourism in China. And the truth is that they have succeeded. People have a week off to get together with family. They take trips and these little things also go to other neighboring countries. I don't know if in this case any of them will go to Taiwan or you can find maybe a Nancy Pelosi poster.
00:38:44
Cesar Vidal: No, I am not very sure, but. But the Chinese travel a lot. I mean, first of all within the country they travel a lot and it's understandable because it's a very big and very beautiful country. I mean, the internal tourism is very powerful, but apart from that, they travel a lot abroad, they travel a lot abroad and then it is impressive. In addition, everything in China is of such dimensions. I had the feeling that the dimensions were as large as those of the United States, which indeed has enormous dimensions. And I remember in my childhood when to say that something was big, they told you in the American way that it was God big and it's true, it's totally true, but of course, you get to China and it's really out of proportion to what you've seen up to that point.
00:39:43
Lorenzo Ramirez: Yes, yes, that's right, isn't it? And then, following a little bit with the question of gold, beyond the Golden Week, that consumption, those sales of jewelry, there is no doubt that here the role of gold is fundamental to support the currency when inflation ends up destroying the monetary system. We are in a process of destruction of the monetary system. I tell you again, I have said it many times, I say it again, it is a sustained inflation over time, even if later there are quibbles and interest rates can be lowered again with CFDs and digital currencies. But ultimately, everything that has been done so far and what is going to be done, the only thing that causes is the destruction of that monetary system. And when the time comes, countries that have gold will be able to back their currency because of that. The United States has gold. That's why the Central Bank of China has gold. That's why the Central Bank of Russia has gold. And that's why we don't have it. In fact, the little bit that we had, we sold it.
00:40:32
César Vidal: Exactly. Solbes sold it to Russia. It is one of these wonderful things. And he was trying to justify the unjustifiable.
00:40:42
Lorenzo Ramírez: He did not say that it was not going to go up. That gold was not going to go up.
00:40:44
César Vidal: Never gold. And then it was better to sell it at that moment, before it went down. The end. The Solbes thing was to grab him by the beard and hit him.
00:40:53
Lorenzo Ramírez: There was no commission, for sure. What happens is that we have not been able to prove it. So I don't know who, but certainly somebody took it. Well, speaking of sanctions and cheating as well. Not only are the ingots melted by buying the Russians through the back door, but now they are also trying to end this veto on Russian coal, especially Germany, Poland, Baltic countries need coal, as it is obvious, because this is another big lie. That is to say, we were told to close the thermal power plants to the Spanish, French and then the Germans, the Poles and the Baltic countries. What they are basically doing is burning coal which they have then achieved, although they are saying the opposite, but they have achieved it. That the European Commission changes its sanctions guidance to Russia, indicating that there are a number of goods, including coal and related products that should be allowed to be traded in order to combat food and energy insecurity around the world. Have you noticed? Now we are going to see how progressively Europe is already doing it with fertilizers, it is also going to do it with coal. We are going to see how they continue to buy products from Russia at the same time that they tell us that these types of products are prohibited. But well, we have already reached this ceremony of confusion in which people will swallow anything. Well, there are people still on the bus with their masks on. That tells you everything. PREVIOUS Yes, yes. Are there any liberals or supposed liberals who are now indignant with the health measures that you are now defending? Now he says that just like the masks on the bus, no, the five punctures, yes, but not the mask. Previously, the European Commission had banned EU operators from transferring coal and providing services, especially financing and insurance, to all shipments of products from Russia. And this is lifted, in fact. Bloomberg. Bloomberg agency reported last week that a Greek-flagged ship that are lining up, Greek shipowners are lining up. We commented it here as well that they were going to be lining themselves because they are the ones doing the dirty work. In this case, also dirty work, literally, because they had shipped coal from Russia to Turkey after the European Union sanctions came into effect in August. There are the islands, that Aegean, in that Aegean where the Russian material is, which we then also bring to Europe. And let's finish by talking about that real estate pinch, in this case in Europe and more specifically in Spain as well. After a document published today by the European Central Bank, an economist from the European Central Bank, Niccolò Battistini, Johannes Garris and Moreno Roma, a document that you can find on the Internet called The Impact of Rising Mortgage Rates, which would be something like the impact of the increase in mortgage rates and mortgage interest rates in the Eurozone, the impact on the real estate market. There are many people who have intellectually buzzed us here over the last few months saying that we were warning that there was a housing bubble and that it was going to burst. I have stuck to my guns. Besides, as I have commented here on some occasions, due to personal issues, because in 2007 I had to do the same in the newspaper Expansión, where I had no freedom whatsoever. And here, as I have it all, the truth is that I have been at ease. These gentlemen are saying that for every increase in the interest rate, for every point increase in the interest rate, housing prices in the Eurozone are going to fall by 5%. Ergo, if interest rates and the Euribor was at zero, at zero five, and today it is already above two and a half, we are talking about a fall in housing prices of around 15%. Because it would start to occur in the next six months. Historically, the rise in mortgage rates has always triggered corrections in the price of housing, but it is obvious. If I make the mortgage loan more expensive, there will be people who cannot buy. And if there are people who cannot buy, the price has to go down. Furthermore, on this occasion, far from fulfilling the maxim that some people were defending that the situation is not like that of two thousand seven and two thousand eight, the situation is worse because we have a low starting level of interest rates, I insist, minus zero point five, and high house price valuations, which the report admits are high. And I say, gentlemen of the ECB, because you have been saying for years that they were not high valuations. You have lied to us. Indeed, they are lying to us. He says Well, there is a factor that may prevent this real estate downturn is that households now give much more importance to housing after the COBIT 19 pandemic. According to the estimated model. I insist, a one percentage point increase in the mortgage rate leads all things being equal ceteris paribus, they say to a house price fall of about 5% after about two years or so. They tell us. No, if that is the mortgage rate, they did the Euribor, the fall is 8% after two years, I insist, per point. In addition, we must also take into account the effect of inflation, the effect of unemployment, which has not yet shown its face, its worst face, its worst face, and the fall in corporate profits on disposable income. Because this is going to generate a significant drop in prices. Whenever we talk about the real estate market, we must always bear in mind, as I always say, that joy and sorrow go in different neighborhoods. That is to say, there will be areas where real estate prices will hardly move, but there will be others where they will move. This morning the Euribor mortgage indicator par excellence in Spain, above all, has gone above 2.4% daily. Is anyone scared right now? I do not know. In the drink, please. If you are going to give your life, take the Bible and wake up a little and mental mentalize. They say that all those who have a mortgage review in the coming months will experience a rise in the average installments of between 250 and 300 €. And depending on that, adapt your consumption plans, adapt your investment plans and make your life in general. In September it is going to close above two. Right now, with the two-four data I have it here on the screen. The provisional September average of 2 point zero 8% in August was 1.25. On the market. Everybody is discounting that we're going to go in the neighborhood of 3%. Well, well, just think that a lot of people are going to their financial institutions to get fixed-rate mortgages. It's a little late for that now.
00:47:26
César Vidal: It is a little late to have realized this. People do things late and they are harder to do when they are done late.
00:47:35
Lorenzo Ramírez: Of course, right now, getting an attractive price is difficult. Even so, I have to say that I don't see so clearly that I would take out a fixed rate mortgage. Now, yes, something suitable, because it all depends. Well, it depends on many factors, but fundamentally on the payment term. That is to say, if you have five or six years left. If you have five or six years left to pay the mortgage, then you will effectively eat the increase in interest rates. Now, if you have 20 years left, be careful, because before the implementation of digital currencies, the central bank has to make a new turn of the screw and interest rates will go down again. I don't know how much. But after this depression, once. Or after this recession. When you go into recession and already 2023, if you hurry me in 2024, the situation has already. The bubble has already burst. Then it's time to lower interest rates again. And then, if you have taken out a fixed rate mortgage, be careful, because you may have to eat it with a spoon. It all depends on the interest rate that one contracts in the term of what can be revalued or lose value. The specific property to be mortgaged depends on many factors, but I make this reflection in general because people are already thinking that we are going to 15 years of interest rates at 5% and this has never happened. Never in the modern era of the 21st century. It is not very likely that if inflation becomes entrenched at four or 5%. I have also commented on some occasions that central banks will end up modifying inflation targets, because if you keep interest rates so high, there will be nothing to eat in the stores. There are going to be countries that are going to go bankrupt in a chain.
00:49:15
César Vidal: And that's it. That's obvious. Let's go.
00:49:17
Lorenzo Ramirez: As this is going to try to avoid. At the cost of what? At the cost of generating inflation, at the cost of generating loss of purchasing power? At the cost of advancing the 20 30 agenda? All this is true, but be careful, because another drop in interest rates may come and whoever signs a fixed rate mortgage at a very high rate may have problems later on, right? I am simply making this reflection. I never give financial advice. Today I have made some comments about it, but because I insist, I think it is something that people need to know. It is necessary to have another vision, another approach different from the one given in the official media. And today I wanted to contribute a little bit of that grain of sand. I also tell you that I still have a variable rate mortgage so that you can see that I get involved and that this is what I think. I can be wrong. I insist as in other matters, but for the moment I am keeping my mortgage at a variable rate because I believe that this turn of the screw is going to take place. I don't know if in one year or in two, in three, in four, in five. But mortgage loans have very long terms and you can never think about what will happen only tomorrow, the day after or when Mr. Yaron Powell keeps opening the spigot to see what happens today. My guess is that interest rates will go up zero 75%. If they go up 100 it will be news, but not that much. But hey, it will be one of multiple hikes. The Federal Reserve, whose target is no longer four four and a half times 100, but 5%. The Federal Reserve is going to raise interest rates progressively until it reaches 5% or so and then we don't know what will happen if it will keep them for a long time or if it will really be forced to lower them. The key will be a little bit in what the labor market does, because domestic demand has already plummeted quite a bit in the United States. But as long as there is strength in the labor market, a strength that in some ways is also a bit of a mirage, because it is coupled with the big resignation that happened with the Cobi and all those people who have left their jobs, which has kept the unemployment rate artificially low. And we are going to see successively in the next few months, if that unemployment rate goes up, if the unemployment rate goes up, the Federal Reserve will stop raising interest rates. That's the only thing that can slow it down or a horse financial crisis that in principle in the United States, at least I don't see it in the short term. It can always happen. The banks have corpses in the closet, but I think it is Europe that has to worry about financial crises, at least for the time being. More than the United States, Don Cesar.
00:51:34
César Vidal: Well, it seems clearer than water. Anyway, we repeat what you pointed out a few minutes ago. I wish you were wrong, but we know that this is not usually the case. Fundamentally because, as in the end, the analyses made in this program do not derive from publicity or from the proximity to certain powers, but what they try to do is to analyze what is happening in the coldest and most aseptic way. Of course, the margin of error is greatly reduced, surely not to 100%, but. But it is really reduced a lot because they are not analysis interested in anything other than communicating reality, no matter how unpleasant it may be. To the people who listen to us.
00:52:14
Lorenzo Ramírez: And in not hiding, especially if you allow me Don César, the reflections and analyses that are made by people who know that they are in the market, that it is even easy to go to those sources, because when I quote them here and then many people go to the Internet and find them, but that most of the media remain hidden because they do not allow this type of messages to be published, because they go against the interest of the advertiser in particular. In other words, we don't do any very fundamental analysis. As I have always said, if I were an axe when it comes to forecasting, maybe I would be, I would have another job. But these are trends that can be seen and that in most of the media remain hidden to a large extent because the journalist or analyst already knows what he/she does not have to talk about and does not talk about it. They don't even have to be told. And that is the situation that has brought us here and that is the real cancer. And so there's a situation where the people are completely uninformed.
00:53:03
César Vidal: César is like that, is like that. Thank you very much for everything, Lorenzo. We will meet tomorrow. A very strong hug to you.
00:53:10
Lorenzo Ramírez: A big hug.
